Caregiver Professional Fire Safety Training
The Caregiver Professional Fire Safety Training course is intended for individuals
responsible for the care, welfare, and safety of occupants in a caregiver facility.
WHY SHOULD I REGISTER?
The course is required to be attended by caregivers in group daycare homes and
daycare centers. The course is also required for administrators, directors, operators,
and all of Group l-1 and Group R-4 assisted living communities, assisted living facilities, community living arrangements, memory care units, personal care homes, and residential board and care homes.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
In this course, caregiver professionals will learn about fire prevention and preparedness
for both the facility and the home, including the following educational topics:
• The basic Components of fire, products of combustion, and fire behavior in buildings
• Building evacuation procedures and types
• Modern burn prevention and treatment practices
• Firesetting identification and intervention
